To celebrate, here's a sneak peak of some of the things I'm doing as I decorate Sariah's new room.
Look! A dead tree! No, I'm just kidding, but it does kinda match the ones outside. Here's completion of step one, with leaves to follow...
I have managed to get green grass though...I made these really easy throw pillows for Sariah's day bed. The purple one has the same fabric as her monkey sheets on the inside! Plus its the same purple color that I'm making her curtains out of. Decorating is lots of fun! :)

Very cute. Sorry for trumping your post. :) I guess house projects are all the rage right now.
Love the pillows--especially the ribbon. Tres chic. And the tree! Did you free hand that? Way better than i could do. Is Sariah excited for her new room?
Cute!!! I love the tree, too. If you did that by hand I am very impressed. It's going to be awesome when you get it finished up!
Yes, I did the tree by hand. Its just a pencil and then I painted inside the lines. Trees are about the only thing I can draw.
Sariah knows that Mommy spends a lot of time inside the corner room and she can't go in, but I'm not sure if she really realizes its all for her. We've taken her in there before I painted to lay on the bed... I hope she likes it! When she gets older, if she wants to paint over it, I might cry! ;)
Wow! That's going to be such a fun room. I love the pillows. Way to go for painting it all yourself. We're going to have a "painting party" with some friends and family next month to help paint Margaret's new room. Then the following room we'll do the same and paint the baby's room. I can pick colors for bedrooms but I still haven't decided on colors for the living room, kitchen, or dining room yet. Decorating is fun!
That will be a really cute room. I wanted to paint our kids room in a jungle theme. Also with trees and stuff, but since we are in Army housing it's always harder to decorate. I love the tree and the pillows.
